060005 - Much of the land in many parts of Canada was cleared for farming and homesteading. With time, many have realized that trees are vital to our well being, largely as oxygen suppliers. With that, numerous tracts of land were replanted with trees, although most of those areas were monoculture plantations. Left to its own devices however, nature will take over and start to diversify the gene pool, as we see in this old plantation here, made all the more attractive photographically by the soft light from a winter fog that was in place at the time.
